This was the web page for APHI 612, “Topics in Metaphysics: Conscious Experience”, taught during the fall 2020 semester by Prof. Ron McClamrock of the UAlbany Philosophy Department.
The course is over now. Some of the materials are still here, but probably will mostly be taken down over the next few months.
Here’s the course description:
An examination of some advanced issues in philosophy of mind concerning the existence and place of conscious experience in the world. Contemporary debates explored will likely include illusionism and consciousness, panpsychism, the possibility of a theory of consciousness, externalism/internalism and perceptual consciousness, and phenomenology and naturalism.
And here is the initial syllabus for the course.
